As creative lead on EF’s in-house content team I was supremely lucky to collaborate with a talented group of filmmakers, photographers, writers, producers, and area experts to generate content of all types. Below is a selection of films in which I contributed—sometimes in the upfront concepting and pre-production, sometimes on the ground production, and often in post production and making sure eyes find the work.

Equal parts history teacher, cultural connoisseur, architecture expert, restaurant recommender, and sightseeing savant, they’re trained guides who know the ins and outs of all the cities you’re visiting—and they can’t wait to give you a window into their world.

Moments with Tour Director Mirka

Former EF traveler Murugi T. discovered her passion for storytelling through photography when she traveled to Spain on an EF tour at 18-years-old.

Today, Murugi works as a digital producer at a consulting firm. She’s an award-winning (and Emmy-nominated!) visual storyteller and marketer who’s worked with brands like Google, PBS, NBC, and National Geographic. She’s also a film photographer, a jetsetter who’s traveled all over the world, and an advocate for informed consent in photography.

04—The Impact

A groundswell of support

Across two major in-person events alone, the Studio City Farmers’ Market and Downtown Long Beach Farmers Market, on-the-ground outreach teams were able to distribute flyers and have positive one-on-one interactions with over 500 people, including local businesses. As this campaign continues, we expect growing public interest in advocacy for a wet LA River.
